The construction industry has somewhat been a late bloomer when it comes to welcoming women into the profession. Whilst law and banking have seen women rising the ranks for decades, during the 80’s in the construction industry seeing a woman perform anything but an administrative role would have been a rare sight.
But the “times they are a-changing” and on International Women’s Day of action is where gender equality tops all agendas.
As we celebrate this on 4 March 2020 over breakfast, we’ll also recognise the accomplishments of women in the construction industry with some amazing people who will share their experiences and are open to your questions.
ACRA continues to support the industry by attracting and retaining talented women as well as recognising men and women who contribute to the promotion of diversity of thinking.
