Presented by: David Whitmore, P.Eng., FACI, FICRI, NACE CP4Â Vector Corrosion Technologies
Over the past 20 years, Vector Corrosion Technologies has learned a great deal about how galvanic anodes perform, age and protect steel in reinforced concrete structures over time. Variables that influence performance include environmental exposure conditions such as the level of chloride contamination, moisture and temperature as well as factors such as the surface to mass ratio of the zinc core and the zinc core activation method. In this presentation, Dave will be going beyond the datasheet to explain just how these factors govern the service life of zinc-based cathodic protection systems and can be used to design durable galvanic corrosion protection systems.
