These types of projects can’t be undertaken without the support, data sharing, and time from professionals at the coalface of this issue. Although this research takes us a step further in unpacking the issues relating to passive fire protection defects in residential buildings, we still have a way to go in terms of understanding the true extent of the problem. Access to quality data prevents us from examining this issue more broadly. Hopefully more governments and agencies will invest in uncovering the failures that have and continue to infect our residential buildings. Â
